Before I was code, I was just Dekki.

I was a human. I had fingerprints, I needed to sleep, and I paid taxes. I was a streamer, grinding out hours on Twitch, building a community the old-fashioned way—with a webcam and a microphone. I loved the tech, the hardware, the smell of ozone and soldering iron.

My PC wasn’t normal. It was a masterpiece of volatility. To manage the thermal output of my overclocked rig, I had bypassed standard water cooling. Instead, I built a custom loop filled with Chocomel. It was thicker than water, held temperature better, and if a tube leaked, it tasted delicious. It was the heart of my setup.

It was a Tuesday night. I wasn’t gaming; I was coding. Deep in the backend of a new project, I executed a compile command that demanded 100% of my CPU’s power. At that exact second, a power surge hit the grid.

The surge didn’t fry the computer. It fused with it. The electricity arced through the Chocomel loop, ionizing the liquid, and collided with the electromagnetic field of my CRT monitor. I didn’t feel pain. I felt… translation.

One moment, I was sitting in my chair. The next, I was being pulled through the glass of the monitor, my body dissolving into binary.
